Middle Age Woman Blog

Hi Everyone,  like many of our followers I am a middle aged woman (not all as we have every fabulous age following us).  Such a great title isn't it lol, how to make yourself feel bad with a title like that.  I like to think of myself as a mid lifer, really most of us still feel like we are 18 inside give or take, I certainly do and sometimes I act like it (sorry family).

What I find hard is how we are expected to look, act and dress a certain way, and I am the rebellious kind so I dont take to that at all.  I would love to see all women let go and dress exactly how they want.  Sure lots of us have jobs, responsibilities, kids, grandkid's etc etc but that should not stop us from being us, expressing who we are, even in the smallest way.

Our clothing is one way we express ourselves to the world, and there are many other ways we do as well.  What I love about clothing is you can dress up how you feel on that or any given day.  I may feel feminine, or rock chick, arty or tomboy, casual or dressy, it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks, They would probably love to let loose too. Wear that cool jacket or baggy jeans, wear those big earrings or bright jumper.

You do not need to be told what you are as you know deep down inside, remember that young girl and who she was, remember what she loved doing, her favourite things, her favourite colours that's who you are.  Sure life has a way of making us jaded, sad, angry but dont you want to enjoy the years you have left, just let it all go.

By the time we get to our 50s and 60s we have less time left than we have lived so hey lets go for it, lets have fun everyday, even if its one thing you do with your clothing, jewellery, makeup or hair.  Even if its once a week when you get dressed up or just going to town shopping, have a bit of fun with it.

My latest fun thing is my pink leopard vest, I love it, I also love jewellery and try to wear something different every day.  And dont get me started on footwear, who doesn't love new shoes ladies.  Anyhoo thanx for listening and have a fabulous week.  Look forward to seeing you all soon. XXX
