Every part of an ECO SHADES frame is selected for its function. We work with recycled, plant-based, and technical materials that meet strict standards for strength, comfort, and durability.
rPMMA Lenses
All lenses are made from 100% recycled PMMA. They provide crystal-clear optical quality, are lightweight, and block 100% of UV rays (UV400 certified). Each lens is tested and certified to international safety standards.
Biodegradable Acetate
Our bio-based collection uses acetate made from 62% plant-based content (wood pulp and natural plasticisers) and 38% fossil-based plastic. This material delivers the depth, structure, and premium feel associated with traditional acetate, while allowing for adjustability and long-term wear. Development is ongoing toward a 100% plant-based solution.
